Dramas I Have Watched

FULL HOUSE with Rain & Song Hye Kyo
Being the first K-Drama I have watched, I had no idea what to expect. But Full House turned out to be as great as the reviews suggested. It is extremely funny and the characters are lovable. If you're a fan of K-Drama or just shows with a lot of humor & cute I-Love-You-but-can't-tell-you scenes, this is definitely one to watch.

HANA YORI DANGO with Matsumoto Jun, Inoue Mao & Oguri Shun
It is very different from its Korean counterpart though I still can't decide which is better. This version is edgier and actually a tad more believable than the Korean version but each one has its plus & minus points. Watch for yourself & decide.

PLAYFUL KISS with Kim Hyun Hoong & Jung So Min
The entire drama is about a dumb but hard-working girl who has fallen in love with an arrogant genius. Most of it is pitiful, the way she goes running after him with no self-respect. But parts of it are really cute. Especially when he realizes he likes her back as well - but only after he has broken her heart & it's her absence which causes him to realize it. The drama is very infuriating but any girl out there will feel her pain but most of us will also deride her for the way she goes licking his footprints.
But she gets him. So where does our derision get us?
The drama was just meh but it's still a must-watch, I suppose.

YAMATO NADESHIKO SHICHI HENGE with Kamenashi Kazuya, Oomasa Aya, Tegoshi Yuya, Uchi Hiroki & Miyao Shuntaro
It was...ok. Nice at some parts but they SERIOUSLY ridicule & overdo the Gothic parts. But then again, she never says outright she likes Gothic stuff - only horror.
I thought Kamenashi Kazuya's character had depth - backed by a very unrealistic story - which was unpleasantly contrasted by the shallow girl. Honestly, just because some guy said she was ugly, she throws her entire life away.
BUT.
This drama is so effing hilarious. At some points, you have no idea what happened but you'll still laugh like a lunatic. The drama is good for some laughs and there is some significance to it.

PERSONAL TASTE with Lee Minho & Son Yejin
I'm not particularly sure who this drama's target audience was. It's a mix of juvenile humor, depth & sexuality in a way that I can't imagine it being meant for just one type of viewer. It was actually nice but HOW she could mistake him for being gay, I can't imagine. Also, the girl's character developed in a very weird way. She started the drama off as a happy-go-lucky girl who's so down-trodden but goes on with life despite everything but towards the end, started acting very serious and as though the weight of the world was on her shoulders...
There are some laughs. The love-line wasn't as nice as I'd normally wish for.
In fact, the only significant part was the relationships between Gae In, In Hee & Changryul. It was actually believable but again, Chang Ryul switched from being a blabbering sop into a refined gentleman but it was actually believable.
There are some very funny scenes but if it wasn't for Lee Minho & the element of homosexuality, I would never have watched this drama & I would never have looked back.

KKOTBODA NAMJA with Gu Hye Sun, Lee Minho & Kim Hyun Joong
The second K-Drama I ever watched, I immediately fell in love with the characters. Credit goes to the marvelous acting skills of these five actors because even though their characters are majorly flawed, they still come across as likable. It's very glamorous and improbable but that's the beauty of it. It's very cute & even those of us who dislike soppy, lovey-dovey shows will end up liking this. I guarantee it.

COMPLETED THIS POST WHICH HAS SAT AS A DRAFT FOR OVER A YEAR

I have watched some more dramas after these:
You're Beautiful, Hana Kimi, City Hunter, Protect The Boss, Secret Garden, Dream High, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, Scent of a Woman, Skip Beat, 49 Days, Vampire Prosecutor, Rooftop Prince.

My favorite is definitely City Hunter.
WATCH IT.
lol I''m out

Top 10 Best Male Rappers in KPop

KPop has enough and more unbelievably talented singers but since almost every group inevitably includes a rapper whose inclusion into that particular group might not have been based on his ability to rap, but rather, his dancing skills or outward appearance, really good rappers are hard to come by.

  • T.O.P from Big Bang
While one of the hottest men in KPop, T.O.P is actually one of the best rappers ever!
His raspy voice delivers all the energy necessary to convey the emotions of his rap verses. He also has a unique way of enunciating his words, making his rap sharp & abrasive. One would think that this style would only suit verses which incorporate angry emotions but he is able to do the same for hip-hop songs (High High), sad songs (My Heaven) & cute songs (Lollipop) as well as angry verses (Haru Haru).

  • G Dragon from Big Bang
G Dragon & TOP, the rapping duo of Big Bang, are so that Big Bang has the best rapping skills of any KPop group.
While TOP brings out emotion, G Dragon brings out pure energy in his rap verses. Having the uninhibited liveliness of a 6 year old, the leader of Big Bang not only writes most of their songs, he composes them. He has also collaborated with FloRida who is said to be a big fan of G Dragon.

  • Mir from MBLAQ
The youngest in MBLAQ & probably the loudest, brattiest idol in all of KPop, Mir still raps pretty darn good. He probably unleashes all his insanity into his rap verses and it comes across as good. Though he is a Number 1 nutcase, Mir is totally able to rap even sentimental verses but the thought of him actually being so is absolutely laughable. The ever-present whininess in his voice also adds to the loveliness...for once.

  • CAP from Teen Top
19 year old leader of Teen Top, he's silent, yet rules the other 4 boys like a true leader. Looking at his appearance & behavior, one would expect him to have a strong & firm style of rapping but CAP raps like any other energetic 19 year old boy - or man, I expect. His voice has high notes & low notes & even he enunciates clearly - but not quite as sharply - as TOP.

  • Chansung from 2PM
Maknae of 2PM, Chansung brings out his personality in his rapping verses. In songs such as Again & Again, his playful side is revealed despite the solemnity of the lyrics, unexpectedly lending an air of sincerity to the song. In Heartbeat, his maturity despite his young age is brought out. But whatever song it is, his energy is always apparent.
Eg: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLiLn91TKzc [Chansung's rap at 2:30-2:46]

  • Junhyung from BEAST
One of my favourite rappers to start off with, due to his amazing performance in Shock, Junhyung has also remained one of the best rappers out there. He can rap with maximum energy (Change)as well as with infinite tenderness (Lights Go On Again). If you need a rapper with total Chocoballs-ish attitude, it's Yong Junhyung.

  • Yunho from TVXQ

While not necessarily one of the best rappers out there, no one can deny that he is talented. Plus, he is the rapper from the best KPop group (along with SuJu) ever. Yunho's specialty is similar to that of SHINee's Jonghyun. He can easily change his voice, tone & style to suit the song he sings. While possessing a nasally voice that he couples with a deliberate enunciation that makes him sound like he's sounding it out for a 2 year old. He can rap for hot songs (Mirotic), easy songs (Wrong Number) as well as songs such as Purple Line & Keep Your Head Down.
Eg: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djJb5iSL0Do [You can recognize Yunho. Fullstop.]

  • Kim Heechul from Super Junior

Heechul is not the rapper of Super Junior, nor does he get many rap parts in their songs. But as for attitude, power & energy, he has it all. Together with a voice that is suited for heavier songs than that sung by Super Junior, Heechul has an undeniable edge in his voice apparent to those who know him, because it emanates from everything he does, including his rapping.

  • Key from SHINee
SHINee suffers from the problem that I mentioned in the introduction. Minho is obviously one of the best-looking guys out there but his rapping could really use a lot of work. So SHINee is lacking in the rapping department but they don't see what a jewel they have in Key. He isn't called Almighty Key for nothing. He's one of the best vocalists, dancers AND a great rapper to boot. When Key raps, it's always with maximum attitude brought out by the ever-present attitude in his voice. But I don't want to hear him rap in songs, I want to hear his breath-taking voice singing. Stupid SMEnt. They reduced his lines & his screen-time altogether just to prevent the others from being outshone. But I'm not going to rant about SMEnt here.
Kudos to the Almighty Key!

  • Taecyeon from 2PM
2PM really do have great rappers in Taec & Chansung.
Different from Chansung whose rap incorporates his youthful energy, Taec's rapping brings out his manliness. His upbringing in the US gives him a slight accent & different rapping style from normal KPop rappers but heck, it still sounds great. But aw his rapping makes him seem stupid, which he might be, I'm not sure
D'AWW TAECYEON BABY! ♥

KPop & Driving Comments

"You can drive??"
"Of course, but you might die."

"You know how to drive?"
"Yes. I just get into accidents a lot"

"Ahh! Hyung, that was a red light!"
"No, that was a green light!"
"Obviously, you would think so!"
"Yes, I think so."

You can't help but adore them!
"Jaebum's driving is similar to that required to drive bumper cars"

Solo Artists in KPop

I watched the video of 'Break Down' by Kim Hyun Joong & 'Not Alone'by Park Jung Min.

Break Down is a lovely song & Leader is really hot in it but I totally prefer him as the 4D leader of SS501.
Not Alone is beautiful. The video is really meaningful. But how come JUNGMIN is singing it?? These two songs should really switch singers.

Break Down is a slightly electronic, dance song which has sexy dance moves. That describes Jungmin well. He could have killed those dance moves. He'd even overdo them and kill off us poor fans =D
Do it. Now.

Not Alone is a slow song that says how you should believe and that you are never alone. Has a lot of violin, cello, that kind of song. It requires good vocal power. Jungmin delivers perfectly. But I think that kind of song would have suited Hyun Joong better.

Actually, no.
The idea of either Jungmin OR Hyun Joong ever being serious is just a joke.

But I honestly don't think solo singers in KPop can make it internationally. They need to debut in a group first. Otherwise, they won't have such a big fanbase.
In that way, I really marvel at Se7en & BoA... They actually have fixed fandoms. Younha is also famous but I think they were really unfair to her. They didn't promote her 1/10th as much as they promoted Se7en & BoA but she became known due to her undeniable talent. I have no idea about other solo artists. I think there's a Joo. Yeah, Taec showed her off in Hot Blood Men & I found her when I was looking for that song Bad Boy (Argh, never found it... I think it's by Rain though...)

Fan-Pairings

Okay, I know fan-pairings are TOTALLY bollocks. Leaving out the absurdity of boy-boy or girl-girl pairings, idols rarely date who we expect them to.
Junhyung & Goo Hara.
Jonghyun & Shin Sekyung.

Even though it is absolute bilge, it is rather fun to ship (imaginary) couples.
I ship only two. And by shipping, I don't mean die-hard shipping. I just kind of like it.
YunJae couple: Yunho & Jaejoong
HanChul couple: Hankyung & Heechul
Which is terrible because neither of these two have any chance of providing any fanservice any more.

Yunho & Jaejoong are not allowed to communicate with each other.
Hankyung is all the way in China.

N-Noo...!

Anyways... I just discovered that the order in which the pairing is named, is also significant.
I will never, ever go into details about this topic but let's just say Seme & Uke, or say 'give & receive Christmas presents' (Thank you, Tyra Banks!) The name which comes second is the Uke/receiving presents.

Now YunJae... There is also another smaller fandom for JaeHo.
I don't care who tops who, to be perfectly honest, but JaeHo?? I mean, Yunho is the ultimate Seme! But there is an element of cuteness in JaeHo too. Yunho having a gentle side is rather...intriguing. To think that he would be humbled by his love for Jaejoong is cute too...

But Jaejoong can never be a Seme so that ends JaeHo for me.

YunJae is still going strong...in the hearts of Cassies, at least. Don't worry, Yunho... Your 'BooJae' will never love another like the way he loved you...

teehee

Moving on!
HanChul!
This is cuuuute! Heechul, master of wit & owner of the ultimate comebacks. Hankyung, silent & sweet Chinese guy with a cute but manly attitude. To think that Heechul would be cowed by him is too adorably sweet for words. Hankyung dominating Heechul...

Muahahahahaha...

I am so dirty.

Anyways...
Moving onto OTHER fan-pairings.

SiHan: Cute, but can you imagine the overload of hotness?? No, that would be like a nuclear explosion...
EunHae: LOT of fan-service but obviously fake.
KyuMin: Obviously fake. Honestly, Cho Kyuhyun? Loving a simple creature like Sungmin? Nuh-uh...
KangTeuk: Please. FAKE. I don't even see the chemistry.
YeWook: Pfuit! Extremely & awkwardly cute but YESUNG? No way.

JongKey & 2Min: SHINee having pairings? Creepy.

YooSu: teehee. Junsu? Very believable. Yoochun? Also believable. But the vibe isn't there...
HoMin: I used to ship this when KYHD came out but please... Changmin is forever the son of YunJae.

Heartfelt Posts

I visited some other blogs done by random people & most of them sound really emotional or contain thoughts about what their day to day lives are like. But, honestly, aren't these thoughts private? Why would you want to let other people read about how sad you feel or how disappointed you are in something?
It's like broadcasting to the world what your emotional weaknesses are & leaving it online for people to find. I wouldn't want to do that.
But then I can't figure out if I'm doing the same thing... I used to write about my emotions & what happened each day. But that was more so that I wouldn't forget what happened. I wouldn't complain about how much life sucks to anyone. Fine, yeah, sometimes there are times when life does suck. A heck of a lot. But seriously.
Why would you want to bore other people with depressing details of why your life sucks. It's not like their lives are perfect either.
Anyway, this is my opinion. I'm not judging anyone.
I might be wrong too.
