Batch Trip 2010/2011

Ugh I don't think there's any part of me that doesn't ache atm.

My head aches from having frozen my butt off at night.
My knees ache from having been down on them at night, scrubbing the water off the room floor with tissues.
My butt hurts from having fallen hard onto the beach floor after Avi pushed me.
My neck hurts from having done the Matt-dance a tad too many times.
My feet hurt from wearing those shoes.
My stomach hurts from whatever I ate during those two days.
My legs hurt from dancing madly for four hours straight.
My arms hurt from swimming in the sea.
My eyes hurt from squinting at the toe-nails of over seven girls while giving them all pedicures and manicures.
My back hurts from...I don't know, whatever the hell I did.

Get this.
And the worst part is...
I didn't even freakin' enjoy myself much... :/

Anyways, here's a summary:

Got to school at 7.15am. I felt we were going to be a tad too early and I also felt under-dressed cuz Nutsy looked soo good - like a 60s Rocker, actually - and I was in a blue striped T-Shirt and comfy jeans with no makeup and my hair tied back in a pony-tail. Bo-ring! But whatever.
Only one person I wanted to impress and he didn't see me - though I was sooo lucky to get a glimpse of him just before we left and just as he came to school! He was the first person I saw. Like Destiny!
Yeah.
Like Hell, it was.
Anyways, left our bags at the gate and went in to fill our water bottles. Hiruni was already there and some other Commerce dudes. haha Masith steadfastly ignored us while Nishan and Sajiv gawked over Nutsy. Yay, score!
Talked with Samadhi at the water taps and talked with Sakuntha near the lift.

Bla bla bla, fast forward.

Anyways, Lakna, Thejani, Prashan and Ashan all came soon after.
Went to McDonalds to hang. Senuri came soon after. Spent aaaaaaaaaages in the bathroom, putting eyeliner and mascara on everyone. Asanka, Thinoo and Prashan almost went mad. They'd gone into the Men's Bathroom and screamed for us to come out, hoping we would hear.
But we didn't.
Anyways, ran back to school. Senal was wearing Sudee's shirt. The one where I said a skeleton was giving another skeleton head. hehe
Anyways, got our bags checked bla bla bla.

What else?
...
Nothing.

Got on a bus. Half the girls were standing. Me lucky to get a seat. Chris was sweet, talking about her hair and James and whatnot.

Anyways, awful bus ride.
Stopped by at New Monis Bakery for lunch. Awful time there.
Got on the bus. More awful-ness, except with better scenery and less bad smells.

The teachers probably realized that we were almost suicidal - either that, or we were too early for our hotel reservations - so we stopped off at the beach.
This was fun.
Got totally splashed by Avi and Ashan, chased Ashan around the beach and managed to take a few pictures.
Then came the problem.
I was soaked. In my only pair of jeans. All my other clothes were Knee-Length and shorter. You're not allowed to wear three-quarters or shorts for lunch, breakfast or dinner at the Riverina.

They needed to dry. In time for breakfast.
I had no hope.

Anyways, got back on the bus, soaked and all.
Another God-awful bus trip til we got to the hotel. Managed to finally stagger up to our rooms.
To find that it smelled like CRAP and we only had one bed in it.

We got another bed in and had air freshener sprayed.
Air freshener did no Earthly good and the Double bed looked super-comfy so we all decided to squeeze in and sleep.

Lucky spent ages in the washroom, me getting steadily irritated. And she wasn't even showering. Just changing.
Grrr.
She and Senu changed into their swimsuits and went to the pool. I hadn't brought mine along because I don't like wearing one.
Changed into my shorts and white top with the blue designs and hung out with Christina.

I did her nails and then did mine.
Then, Senu and Lucky got back and we decided to change for dinner.
Chris got dressed quickly cuz we needed to do her hair.
I did Senu's nails and Lucky's nails.

Somehow, Ayo, Mahishi, Dinushka, Jayani, Thejani, Nathasha, Sashini, Sachini, Chathuri and Namini all got dressed in here as well.
I did Thejani's and Chathuri's nails as well. Nathasha was doing everyone's makeup, Lakna was ironing everyone's hair, Christina was curling everyone's hair. Everyone was asking Senu's idea on their clothes and stuff.

People knocked on our door so frequently we put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and started ignoring their knocks.

They knocked.
Someone would open.
They would dare to ask, "Is this the Hair & Makeup room?"

Room 120 had unwillingly become a beauty parlor.

After all the pampering WE did, everyone left, leaving me, Nathasha, Lakna and Christina half-dressed.
None of us had time to do her hair or makeup properly.

We all managed to look average and run down in time.

Everyone looked gorgeous except for me. I looked real plain. But I didn't mind. No one I wanted to impress even remotely.
Sudee looked like a Queen of Midnight - she was stunning.
Nathasha looked like a 80's Model-turned-Rockstar.
Senu looked so pretty.
Chris looked like a doll.
Lucky looked so classy.

But Thejani out-glammed everyone. She was soo pretty! Serves all the people out there who think she's overrated right.

Anyways, went for dinner. Saw Juleef. Didn't talk to him. Didn't feel like it. Sat with Senu, Thinoo, Asanka & the rest of the guys.

Nathasha got real upset later on because of that so we resorted to insults and it worked. She started laughing when I mentioned Oliver Sykes ♥
Went to talk to Hiruni, Sandith, Shamil and Chaminda. Had fun there.

Came back to our table and Madushka grabbed my chair away just as I was about to sit. Didn't even care when Nathasha told him it was taken. And I was just there.
Screw him.
Lost my temper, grabbed my stuff and stormed off to Hiruni's table. Gobbled down all her dessert and they all made me smile again.

Dinner Dance.
Woohoo!
Awesome awesome awesome!!
Partied like it was 2012.
Created a dance.
- Neck-cricking like Masith.
- Flirty giggles like Sajiv.
- An "Oh-You-Did-NOT-Just-Do-That" gesture like Varsity Fanclub.
- Butt shake like Max

We danced from 8 til 12.30.
Hobbled back to our rooms and found the entire room flooded because some sodding idiot had turned off the mini-bar. Probably one of our 'customers'. Irked me to no end.
Couldn't shower because it was freezing and the hot water was out.

I got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed the entire floor with toilet paper from the bathroom.
Lakna cleaned the mud from everyone's heels out of the bathroom.
Senu cleared up all the used tissues, littered items and stuff everyone else had left behind.

We fork out 4500 bucks to do maid service at Riverina.

Anyways, after all that - we needed coffee. Badly.
But our heater was all drenched in water and we were too scared to turn it on.

We called Ms Chitra and told her we were going to borrow some water from Nathasha's room.
Heard some Foreigner screaming.
Crept, ever so sneakily, to Nutsy's room and brought back a jug of hot water. I
There was a reeeally hot dude in the room next to ours. Looked like Samuel Larsen ♥♥ But he had a girlfriend with him. She looked mean and wasn't even pretty. But she was probably nice enough. I hope.

Anyways, made coffee, watched Anaconda 4.
It SUCKED.
Gossiped and went to sleep.

Woke at about 4, shivering in my shorts. Lucky and Senu were shivering in their sleep.
Moved to the other bed and slept. Senu woke up, turned off the lights and when we woke again, it was light but hardly anyone was up. Senu, wrapped up in her blanket, and I walked to Nutsy's room where she was up.
Walked around, the three of us. Ms Manel was reading, Ms Chitra was chatting with Tharaka.

Went back to our rooms. Blow-dried my jeans for about 30 minutes til they were a little drier and went down for breakfast. Food was amaaaaazing!!
Went back up to change cuz my top made me look fat AND because we were going to the beach.

Went to the beach and went in so deep. It was amaazing. Splashed Ashan. Swam. Jumped.
It was a blast. Prolly the funnest part of our trip :/

Afterwards, I realized that I was facing a dilemma: lack of clothes. I had only my last pair of 3-quarters left, my shorts, the T-shirt I slept it and the two that made me look fat.
So I stayed in my wet clothes for the entire Treasure Hunt.

Which sucked. Balls.
We didn't know the layout of Club Palm Garden at all.
I was so out of breath after running so much.
My toes were swollen.
All the guys cheated.

haha Waseem's group got the furthest. They got 14 out of 15 clues but the 15th one was found by accident by Ruchitha's group and they weren't giving up.
Anyways, I think a foreign dude made a huge freakin' fuss about something. I think someone knocked on him or something. Gawd. Dick. It's our country.

Anyways, afterwards, went back up to pack and change for lunch :P
Watched a bit of The Uninvited. Could hear Sachini screaming her head off but the movie was laaame.
Changed into my - dry! yay! - jeans and my Save World T-Shirt and went down for lunch.
Food was adamazing! But I think I had a tad bit of stomach trouble because I couldn't actually eat as much as I wanted to.
Afterwards took pictures, boarded the bus and came back to school :/ :/ :/ Was sick so I sulked the entire way back...

Sucks Sucks Sucks!

Maathra 3

OMG OMG OMG so I had duty for Maathra. I figured it would be a drag but it totally WASN'T!

After ELA, I got changed into uniform. haha Chathura (the cricketer/athlete dude) winked at me and said "Wow, you smell nice". Swoon!! So then I met Buwaneka and the current HB of Gampaha. I think Nithya, Shamitha and Rashard really creeped them out.
Nithya, with his incessant and maniacal hugging.
Shamitha, with his...everything, actually. His dancing, his intense questions and his stare.
Rashard, with his maniacal laughing and loud comments, including the "Bunis Story"

Everyone was desperate to try The Wave on the both of them but Mr Samarabandu was watching and we could hardly slap the Head Boys of the Branch schools in front of him, could we? So we said we'd do it after Maathra. But in the end, there wasn't any time. Boo hoo :'(

ANYWAYS.
The interesting part!
The first dance was a Pooja Dance. A bunch of girls from Panadura were dancing in front of an altar, offering flowers to someone dancing behind a screen. I thought it was a girl at first because that person was dancing soo sexy, all flexible and stuff and I figured all the guys must be mesmerized.

How wrong I was.

After the first half, the person behind the screen pushed aside the curtains and stepped out...in all his majestic, God-like glory...
Hubba Hubba!

The guy was dressed as a God, with an enormous headdress that got caught in the curtains as he tried to get out from behind the screen.
He looked like a freaking God!! He was wearing this criss-cross cloth covering his chest and this short, red toga-like thing which cut off halfway down his thighs, along with short red tights.
And the rest of him was as bare as Venus De Milo's chest! =D =D And just as hairless. Everyone kept telling me "Ew, the guy waxes!" and I'm like "Hell, I'm in love with gay men! Waxing is not a problem!"
He was painted in gold glittery paint. His eyes done with gold eyeshadow, his arms shining with glitter and his legs were all golden too.
When the lights hit him, he sparkled like a God (NOT like a diamond, hence making him much more superior to Edward Cullen!), shined like a sun and stole my heart!

And then...he began to dance.

D. A. M. N.
The way he moved - Adam-freakin'-LAMBERT much???
From the intense eye-linered stare right down to the trademark Lambert Strut!

Still in Shock.
Still in Love.
His name is Naveen Abeysinghe, I found out. Chaminda asked the HB of Panadura. Sithmi, Lakna & Thisuri told me he was so gay. And I secretly rejoiced inside. hehe
And that he was a flirt. That I saw.
Everywhere he went, he was followed by a gang of girls but then that was to be expected.

HE WAS EFFING WEARING BLACK LIPSTICK!!

What I learned from that:
When you resolved to do something, DO IT or else the moment passes by.

So Naveen, you may not know me, but you taught me a valuable lesson in life...
xx
