Dramas I Have Watched

FULL HOUSE with Rain & Song Hye Kyo
Being the first K-Drama I have watched, I had no idea what to expect. But Full House turned out to be as great as the reviews suggested. It is extremely funny and the characters are lovable. If you're a fan of K-Drama or just shows with a lot of humor & cute I-Love-You-but-can't-tell-you scenes, this is definitely one to watch.

HANA YORI DANGO with Matsumoto Jun, Inoue Mao & Oguri Shun
It is very different from its Korean counterpart though I still can't decide which is better. This version is edgier and actually a tad more believable than the Korean version but each one has its plus & minus points. Watch for yourself & decide.

PLAYFUL KISS with Kim Hyun Hoong & Jung So Min
The entire drama is about a dumb but hard-working girl who has fallen in love with an arrogant genius. Most of it is pitiful, the way she goes running after him with no self-respect. But parts of it are really cute. Especially when he realizes he likes her back as well - but only after he has broken her heart & it's her absence which causes him to realize it. The drama is very infuriating but any girl out there will feel her pain but most of us will also deride her for the way she goes licking his footprints.
But she gets him. So where does our derision get us?
The drama was just meh but it's still a must-watch, I suppose.

YAMATO NADESHIKO SHICHI HENGE with Kamenashi Kazuya, Oomasa Aya, Tegoshi Yuya, Uchi Hiroki & Miyao Shuntaro
It was...ok. Nice at some parts but they SERIOUSLY ridicule & overdo the Gothic parts. But then again, she never says outright she likes Gothic stuff - only horror.
I thought Kamenashi Kazuya's character had depth - backed by a very unrealistic story - which was unpleasantly contrasted by the shallow girl. Honestly, just because some guy said she was ugly, she throws her entire life away.
BUT.
This drama is so effing hilarious. At some points, you have no idea what happened but you'll still laugh like a lunatic. The drama is good for some laughs and there is some significance to it.

PERSONAL TASTE with Lee Minho & Son Yejin
I'm not particularly sure who this drama's target audience was. It's a mix of juvenile humor, depth & sexuality in a way that I can't imagine it being meant for just one type of viewer. It was actually nice but HOW she could mistake him for being gay, I can't imagine. Also, the girl's character developed in a very weird way. She started the drama off as a happy-go-lucky girl who's so down-trodden but goes on with life despite everything but towards the end, started acting very serious and as though the weight of the world was on her shoulders...
There are some laughs. The love-line wasn't as nice as I'd normally wish for.
In fact, the only significant part was the relationships between Gae In, In Hee & Changryul. It was actually believable but again, Chang Ryul switched from being a blabbering sop into a refined gentleman but it was actually believable.
There are some very funny scenes but if it wasn't for Lee Minho & the element of homosexuality, I would never have watched this drama & I would never have looked back.

KKOTBODA NAMJA with Gu Hye Sun, Lee Minho & Kim Hyun Joong
The second K-Drama I ever watched, I immediately fell in love with the characters. Credit goes to the marvelous acting skills of these five actors because even though their characters are majorly flawed, they still come across as likable. It's very glamorous and improbable but that's the beauty of it. It's very cute & even those of us who dislike soppy, lovey-dovey shows will end up liking this. I guarantee it.

COMPLETED THIS POST WHICH HAS SAT AS A DRAFT FOR OVER A YEAR

I have watched some more dramas after these:
You're Beautiful, Hana Kimi, City Hunter, Protect The Boss, Secret Garden, Dream High, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, Scent of a Woman, Skip Beat, 49 Days, Vampire Prosecutor, Rooftop Prince.
